Karen is nationally known for her expertise in developing consultants who work with clients in creating and facilitating long-range plans for organizational and professional growth. She has designed, tailored, and presented thousands of developmental programs and seminars for major organizations, many of which have been clients for over 20 years. Karen has received many awards, including the Trainer of Trainers Award from the American Society for Training and Development. She has been featured in numerous newspaper articles and appeared on a variety of TV and radio shows. Karen is recognized as a national authority on diversity and has spoken at many national conferences about the subject.
For the past 20 years, Karen has consulted individuals and organizations on issues involving change in the workplace and marketplace. She and her team have worked with hundreds of major organizations to assess where they were, where they wanted to be, and how to get there. Recognized as one of the top diversity experts in the country, ProGroup has created and partnered in implementing and measuring hundreds of strategic diversity initiatives.

Prior to founding ProGroup, Karen graduated from the University of Minnesota and then was a consultant, a manager, in administration, in manufacturing, in sales, and in marketing. She has also been a published writer, newspaper reporter, an electrician, and a welder. This unique blend of research skills, writing expertise, sales background, and employment experience, combined with leading a multi-million dollar consulting business, enables her to see eye-to-eye with a wide variety of people and organizations.
